Before the "perfect" comes the church was to operate with that which they possessed "in part", but to do so with "charity". Charity would guide the church's use of the spiritual gifts to edification. We traversed through Paul's instruction that prophesying genders to edification whereas tongues, the spiritual gift the Corinthians coveted, do not.
