42 | The Precious Cornerstone

The theme of "the Rock"/"the Stone" runs throughout scripture. It communicates not the foundation of the earth or the beginning of the world, but the foundation of wisdom vested in God's Son the Lord Jesus Christ. The Rock will be tried, become foundational, refused, be stumbled over, offensive, is precious, and has become the head of the corner, that is, the chief cornerstone which has been laid.
