The Corinthians were not having the Lord's supper. They partook in their own supper - so what is the difference? Both involve a meal and eating; however, the Lord's supper reflects the Lord Himself, His will, and sacrifice. Their own supper reflects themself, their own, and their own consideration. This was manifest in that one was drunken and another hungry.
